The overarching thrust of the Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagment (SCALE) Project, is to build the capacity of local Nigerian CSOs in advocacy, strengthen organizational development and support them in effective and efficient project implementation.
In line with this core objective, SCALE organized a two-day curated training on knowledge management, project monitoring and evaluation and impact storytelling for cluster members under the SCALE Project.
The training was held on the 17th and 18th April, 2024 at the De Edge Hotel, Portharcourt.
Participants at the training were exposed to new learnings around knowledge management and how knowledge governance can help build institutional memory and capacitate staff within organization.
The Monitoring and Evaluation session exposed participants to the rudiments of managing projects to meet its stated objectives and goals using monitoring and evaluation tools and systems.
Every project cannot be said to be successful if impacts are not tracked and communicated and shared among relevant stakeholders. Therefore, the session on storytelling and data visualization was quite a compelling session that evoked critical thinking from participants to evaluate how they tell stories of their project using simplistic, easy-to-understand approaches.
HipCity Innovation Centre is immensely grateful to SCALE Team for taking time to build the capacity of Nigerian CSOs. We have already begun the process of internalising the learnings from this workshop and are very much available to share learnings with other organization who wishes to learn from us as well.
