The Fiscal Responsibility Commission( FRC), is an agency under the presidency, charged with the mandate to promote a transparent and accountable government financial framework for Nigeria.
The commission is expected to ensure that revenue-raising policies, resource allocation decisions and debt management decisions are undertaken in a prudent, transparent and timely manner provided for, by the law.
The agency was established by the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007. However, there is the need to strengthen the Act to accommodate punishment for defaulters of the law, to aid the smooth running of the commission.
It is on this premise that our Executive Director, Bassey Bassey today, Wednesday 20th December, 2023 by 4:30pm, will be analyzing the 2023 fiscal review and the road map for interventions and advocacy in 2024, on the GIFT half hour radio show @ Nigeria Info FM. 95.1 Abuja.
