Nigeria is one of the countries suffering from impacts of climate change.
The changing climate is driven by man-induced activities on the earth surface. Currently, the negative impacts of this climate change are desert encroachment, threat to livelihood and food security therefore giving rise to climate-conflict, displacement etc.
To reverse this trend, everyone starting from government to the least citizen has a role to play. This policy brief presents a case for the expansion of the current educational curriculum to incorporate environmental education as subject rather than a topic so as to catalyze a new generation of environmental vanguards who will work towards the sustainability of the environment.
